Common questions

How many scholarships are available for Palm Beach County students?
24 that we have verified against the sponsor's own page, 11 of which are restricted to Palm Beach County, a city inside it, or a single high school.
What is the largest local scholarship in Palm Beach County?
The Viner Community Scholarship Program, from Eda & Cliff Viner Community Scholars Foundation, at $10,000. It is restricted to this area rather than open nationally, so the applicant pool is a fraction of the size.
Are there need-based scholarships in Palm Beach County?
4 of the 24 awards we list state that they consider financial need. Where a sponsor does not say, we leave the field blank rather than assume.
Which Palm Beach County scholarships require an essay?
5 of the 24 awards state that an essay is required. The other 19 do not mention one, which means the sponsor did not publish that detail.
Why apply for local scholarships instead of national ones?
The applicant pool. A national award can draw tens of thousands of applicants for a few hundred places, while an award limited to one county or one high school is competing against a graduating class. 11 of the 24 awards on this page are limited that way.
