Start with where you live

A county award competes against one county's students. That is the whole reason to look here rather than at a national database.

Or the school you attend

An award restricted to one high school is competing against that school's graduating class, which is the smallest applicant pool there is.

Open to any Florida student

These are not tied to a county or a school, so they take applications from a far larger pool. Worth applying for, and worth applying for after the local ones.
